Dog of the Month

Well, what a difference! This little lad couldn't see much at all when he arrived at The Groom Room. But one make over later, Scruffy-Mutt has turned into Scrummy Cavy-Poo...!! Thats right he is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel cross Poodle, and a happy one now the world has opened up to him. Happy Days.
Its The Big Moult!

This very fine Belgian Shepherd Dog still had all his winter coat hanging around in the middle of summer - phew he was way too hot! And as you can see, a huge amount of spent undercoat was ripe for removal, he just needed someone with the right kit for the job! Groom Room to the rescue with a variety of brushes, rakes, dematting tools and a heavenly Dream Shower to get him refreshed, silky, slimmed down and sweet smelling - Aaahh... Just give us a ring if your fluffy friend could do with a great deal less fluff this summer!
Does Your Groomer Health Check Your Dog?
A good grooming salon will thoroughly check your dog for any physical changes since your dogs' last visit, or anything out of the ordinary for new customers. They can then discuss matters of concern with you when you come to pick up your pooch. It is so easy for you to miss things day to day, but during the grooming process The Groom Room staff will go over every inch of your dog, nothing escapes our attention!
Treat us as your "Early Warning System" so potential problems can be nipped in the bud. Some things we can help you with, others may need veterinary attention. Here are some examples:
- Lumps, growths or swellings under the skin
- Warts, cysts, sores or cuts on the skin
- Flaky, dry or irritated skin
- Hair loss or changes to hair condition or growth pattern
- Presence of ticks, fleas, mites or other fauna
We have been delighted on countless occasions when we have been able to diagnose and solve problems free of charge for our customers. Also on numerous occasions, where our observations have led to a vet visit which has successfully treated a potentially serious or life threatening disease or disorder. We are happily at your service!
