Dog of the Month

Meet this adorable Cavypoo, we don't mean to upset you, but would simply like to show you how sometimes you can, without realising it, put your dog under undue discomfort, if his or her coat mats together into felt like the one in these pictures. This dog will not have been able comfortably to run, or even have a good stretch, because the matted hair pulled on her skin. With care and patients we gradually clipped the fleece of hair away, revealing a really happy and grateful dog inside!

Our advice is when you stroke your dog, feel for the start of matted hair, and make an appointment with your groomer before they get more serious. Mats start first around the ears, armpits and inside the legs.

From all of us at The Groom Room, have a fantastic festive season, and thank you all so much for your generous presents and cards, we really do appreciate it.

We will all be spoiling our pooches this Christmas no doubt! Just remember that dogs cannot eat chocolate, it makes them poorly. Many dogs adore raw carrot however, so it's not just Santa's Reindeers you should leave carrots out for! and carrots are oh-so-slimming too : its win win! Merry Christmas ☺
