Dog of the Month

Meet Mylo, he is a Grand Bassett Griffon Vendeen, thats a mouthful! He has a wiry coat, on which we use the special method of hand stripping. This involves carefully pulling out the longest hair which is dead and so comes out very easily. It doesn't hurt, in fact it feels nice of done correctly, and Mylo certainly seems to enjoy it. However with all this cold, wet weather we won't hand strip his coat until it warms up in the Spring, so today he had a good tidy up of all the areas which are not hand stripped, being careful to keep his coat very natural in looks, as per his breed description. He also had his nails clipped which needs doing every couple of months, and his ears cleared out and cleaned.

Don't Forget to Keep Your Dog Free From Fleas, Ticks and Worms!

We stock Frontline flea and tick treatments and Drontal worming tablets.

You can even buy individual treatments, and we will administer them for you too if you wish ☺

To keep your pet free from unwanted critters, apply Frontline at least every 4 to 6 weeks and Drontal every six to twelve weeks.
