DOG OF THE MONTH at The Groom Room

This is a lovely Springer Spaniel. Rachel has chosen her to be one of her 'model' dogs for Advanced groomers exams which she is currently studying for. Having passed the City & Guilds Advanced theory exam with Distinction, she is now taking the associated practical exams. She will groom this Springer Spaniel, a Wire Haired Fox Terrier and a West Highland White Terrier. The dogs have to be of show type quality, with big, healthy coats to challenge the groomer's skills; and of good temperament and behaviour (they mustn't bite the examiner!)

Joking apart, how often have you asked a Groomer or Hairdresser what qualifications they have? It's not uncommon to have none!! But not so here at The Groom Room, where the pursuance of excellence is constant and ongoing.

It's looking good so far...!

And don't forget there is so much more going on than just breed showing, there are competitions in all sorts including Grooming, Obedience, Agility and Flyball, as well as demonstrations in nearly anything 'doggy' you care to mention; and of course Discover Dogs is your chance to meet a wide range of breeds and their breeders - a must if you are considering a new dog of a breed you are less familiar with. Research before you buy!
