New Puppy? - 20% Off Your First Groom!

So you have got your new bundle of love and boy do you know it!! We all forget what a handful puppies are, but they are so sweet we really don't mind! It's worth you knowing that up to the age of 18 weeks is a crucial time in your puppies' life. Why? Because things they experience in that period they tend to accept willingly for the rest of their lives. That's why good books and websites encourage you to take your young puppy to lots of different places and expose them to many different sounds, sights and experiences. The grooming parlour is one of those experiences, so even if they just come for an introductory bath, brush and nail clip it will set them right for the rest of their lives. Why not take advantage of this special offer and contact us today for your first appointment! 07833 681574 info@thedoggroomroom.co.uk

Alternative Trims for Cold Weather

"It's too cold to send my dog to the groomers in the winter..." Or is it?

Dogs still need a professional brush out, bath and tidy up trim in the winter, even if their main coat is allowed to grow until spring. A good groomer will listen to your requests and oblige by altering their techniques to suit different times of the year. Just ask us!

Post Christmas Doggie Diets!

Post Christmas Doggie Diets!

We aren't alone in over indulging over the festive period! We tend to share the goodies with our dogs too. Couple this with dark nights and fewer winter dog walks and before we know it our pooches are looking distinctly podgy! But never fear, here are some simple tips:

Change to a lower protein & oil version of your dog's current food. If you feed treats, choose low fat treats and reduce the quantity of food at meal time to compensate. And remember that if your dog needs a hypo-allergenic food, make sure the treats are hypo-allergenic too.
