January News at The Groom Room
Dog of the Month
Can you believe this is the same Welsh Terrier? Even we might question it if we hadn't transformed him ourselves!!! He is a fabulous 12 month old pup and he was so patient as we carefully clipped off and teased out all his matted fur. Eventually after a good bubbly bath we got him to a condition where we could style him into his new look. His mum didn't recognise him! He needs to visit the salon every 2 months to keep him looking and feeling great ☺
An Opportunity for a Full Time Grooming Post
The Groom Room Professional Groomers and Training Academy is offering you the opportunity to join the salon team in Winsford, Cheshire as a full time groomer.
Are you a team player, good with people and dogs, and with an open mind to continued learning and self improvement?
You may be an experienced groomer, already capable of grooming several dogs per day to a high standard. Alternatively we are willing to assess you if you have limited experience, and are looking for the opportunity to join the team, enjoying further training as you work in return for your commitment to our business.
We are prepared to wait for "the right person"; The opportunities within The Groom Room are far reaching as we run our grooming business and the training academy under one roof.

How Cute am I ?!!
I am a mixture of a Yorkie and a Shih-Tzu, and I think you'll have to admit I am truly irresistible!
My canine mum and dad both have hair that doesn't know when to stop growing! and mine needed taming too. Thanks to The Groom Room I can now see where I'm going, so I'm making the most of all the admiring looks I'm getting!
Mum's pleased too 'cos my long hair was getting a real challenge to brush, and we both like our daily brush much more now my hair's shorter and I don't get any of those horrid tangles!
Weight Clinic for your Dog

Being overweight is a danger to your dog's well-being and the New Year is definitely the time to be taking steps to reduce your dog's weight!
Just look at these problems which are a direct result of you allowing your to be overweight:
- Arthritis and hip dysplasia made much worse
- Inability to exercise because it's such an effort
- Heart and liver disease created
- Diabetes brought on
- Anaesthetic risk if an operation is required
- Poor unhealthy skin and coats
Talk to your groomer or your vet about your dog's diet, food type and the exercise he / she gets. It isn't our dogs who 'get themselves' overweight, it is us who allow it to happen! But thankfully it is simpler than you think to bring down the weight, and your whole family will share the fun of having their healthy, active pet back again!
If you're not due to visit the grooming salon, give us a ring, we are always more than happy to share advice to help you keep your pet healthy and happy ☺
