DOG OF THE MONTH at The Groom Room

This is a Lhasa Apso who came to The Groom Room looking like an old man, and left cutting a dash on the streets of Northwich!! All that had gone wrong previously is that the trimming had been out of proportion, which gave the illusion of a little body sat on shaggy legs, and supportiong a great big head! The reality is that he is a beautifully proportioned and very handsome young man. He just needed a groomer with an eye for detail to show it all off. Groom Room to the rescue!

Autumn is Coat Moulting Time!

Just as we think our dogs will be growing a thick coat for winter... Out it all comes! Its a combination of Autumn being a natural time to shed dead hair, and of course cranking up the central heating system also has an effect.

What to do? You can't stop the hair coming out, so it can either cover your house, or your local grooming parlour! Its a no-brainer, so pick up the phone and call The Groom Room on 07833 681574 to be rescued!

On Guard for Fireworks

As the nights draw in, fireworks will start to go off in your neighbourhood. If your dog is frightened of them, keep then indoors after dark, and try to walk them in the daytime well before dusk; or maybe your local professional dog walker can help you out if your work pattern prevents you (we can put you in contact with dog walkers). Also ask your vet or askus at The Groom Room about tablets which can help your dog to cope with fireworks.
