October News at The Groom Room

Dog of the Month

Our sincere thanks go out to the lady who rescued this poor little dog from a neglectful owner. It is hard to tell what breed she is, have you heard of a Chinese Crested Powder Puff? Sadly her 'puff' had long since turned into dense mats, stuck fast to her skin, how uncomfortable - we can only imagine! Not any more though, as you can see from the picture, our caring staff gradually shaved the sheets of matted hair away. She then had a bath in special, soothing shampoo, before a final clip gave her an ultra smart finish coupled with a lovely, comfortable feeling. Another satisfying day at The Groom Room... aah ☺

Nearly All Breeds Mould & Shed Hair

All short haired dogs moult their hair. You could be forgiven for thinking this Labrador had a skin complaint, but her coat was simply patchy, because dead, discoloured hair rose up to the surface of the coat. Ordinary pet brushes struggle to deal with this hair, but luckily we have the tools of the trade in our salon, and it wasn't long before this girl was looking and feeling spic and span again! If you have had enough of dog hair in your house, just give us a call and we will be delighted to give your dog the 'make-over' both they and you deserve!

October 2012 - Welcome All Puppies

Welcome All Puppies - We Have Special Rates!

How Cute is this little girl? She is only 13 weeks old, and is having her first ever bath at The Groom Room. She is a mixed breed, Great Dane X Dogue de Bordeaux, and has a lot of growing to do!

It is a well known fact in canine expert fields that in the first 18 weeks of life we should strive to introduce our puppies to as many different sights, sounds and experiences as possible. As little ones they accept 'new stuff' with ease, but as they grow up they become cautious and concerned about anything out of the ordinary.

So go on, do your puppy a big favour and get out and about to ALL the places you can think of that they will encounter in their adult lives.

Meet The Groom Room Team

Just in case you ever wonder who is pampering your pooch in the salon, here we are! From left to right, Hazel, Jan, Janet, Sue, Rachel and Becky make up the team who care for your special pet while you are at work, getting the shopping, collecting the kids and more! We know you lead busy lives, that's why we always strive to be flexible when booking your appointments. Some dogs even stay most of the day with us, but that's fine too, because as you can see in the picture we have a big, airy salon with lots of space to look after your dog until you can collect.

We aim to delight, and your satisfaction means everything to us ☺
