September News at The Groom Room
Dog of the Month
You may have seen "Boo" the Pomeranian in a national newspaper recently - voted "The Cutest Dog in the World" Well... at The Groom Room we beg to differ!!
This little lad Pip had a long, thick coat which looked deceptively sleek at first glance, but in fact under the surface it had turned into a cobweb of tangles, not a comfortable feeling. His owners are lovely caring people and they asked us to sort out the bad-hair-day and turn him into a major rival to "The Famous Boo" Well... we couldn't disappoint them now could we ?!!
Here's what Pip's owner had to say... I wanted tell you how happy I am with my dog pip the pom, you groomed him into a teddy bear cut, he looks amazing, thank you so much. love you to put some pics on your site of him :) thank you Rachel, you and your team were fantastic, he looks adorable. I put a couple of pics on face book and the response was incredible, so many people asking me what breed is he, I want one, where did u get him!!!

A Major Transformation!

This lad had got himself just a bit tatty! His old coat was falling out in clumps, and his hair had knotted up in to mats in all those hard to reach places. Time to call a "Poodle Parlour" Luckily The Groom Room pampers pretty much all breeds of dog, and we think you'll agree he looks fit for the show ring now he's had The Works from our caring team of staff!

Hollybank Vets open day Success!
If you missed Hollybank's open day it takes place every year at the beginning of September. It was a lovely day out for adults, kids and animals alike, and happily the sun shone after lunch to put the icing on the cake! The Groom Room offered nail trims, brush outs and tidy ups to raise money for charity, and visitors kept us very busy! A great day was had in Sandiway, many thanks to the organisers ☺
Parvovirus warning!
It has never been so important to keep up to date with your dog's vaccinations, reports Richard Hewitt at Hollybank vets. Hollybank alone have seen three confirmed cases and several other suspected cases in the last six months.
Parvovirus is a killer disease of both puppies and adults, and vaccination is the only prevention. Annual vaccination also covers your pet against several other serious diseases. Happily it is not expensive, and definitely worth safeguarding your much loved pet!
